Newsletter 10/14/16

Recap of the Week
Stocks fell for the second straight week. Large blue-chip companies held up better than riskier sectors (small-caps, tech stocks, etc.). As shown in our charts, the major indices are at key levels. From here, they could bounce up from double-bottom formations. Or they could drop farther and challenge their June lows.

Economic Data
Jobless claims and retail auto sales were better-than-expected. Core retail sales and consumer confidence came in below their forecasts.

TSP Funds
It was another losing week for the TSP funds. The S Fund took the biggest hit with a 1.56% loss. Close behind was the I Fund, declining 1.39%. The C Fund fell by 0.95% and the F Fund had a 0.15% loss.
